Ibero-American Photojournalism Congress: call for papers open until 18 September 2020
The call for papers to the Ibero-American Photojournalism Congress is now open.
The Ibero-American Photojournalism Congress dedicated to 'Photojournalism in Change' is organized by the Communication Institute of NOVA - ICNOVA and will take place on February 11 and 12, 2021, at Colégio Almada Negreiros - NOVA FCSH, Campolide Campus of the University Nova de Lisboa (Portugal).
Photojournalism is one of the least studied subjects of journalism, despite the relevance photographic image had and still has in journalistic information. This congress specifically devoted to photojournalism studies – understood in a broad sense and encompassing photodocumentarism – seeks to fill this knowledge gap in the field of Media and Journalism studies.The event will provide to professionals, researchers, teachers, students and everyone interested in this subject a forum fordiscussing photojournalism from a plurality of points of view: historical, ethical, professional and others.
Unpublished papers that add new knowledge to the studies on photojournalism are preferred as well as papers that present a new angle on a topic previously addressed.
The call for papers is open until September 18, 2020.
