Expanding Cinema: Creative Processes and Practices

Porto, Portugal, 22.-23. November 2018

Dear Colleagues,

You are all warmly welcome to Expanding Cinema: Creative Processes and Practices, the NECS Cinema & Contemporary Visual Arts workgroup event in Porto, Portugal.

We are meeting on the 22-23 of November to share projects, ideas, films and artworks. The gallery Miras Artes Performativas and the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto partnered with us and we are very excited to be able to gather for the first time beyond the annual NECS conference. Thanks to the amazing collaboration of our partners we will be having a conference and an exhibition, complemented by a film screening. This mirrors the nature of our workgroup, which aims at bringing together scholars, curators and artists sharing the interest for contemporary visual arts in relation to film and screen media at large.

The event is open an free to everyone, upon registration here https://goo.gl/forms/bqVHUY3jkHhQjFU03

If you are interested in the CCVA activities please feel free to get in touch with Patricia Nogueira (patricianoguira.aulas[at]gmail.com) and I, whilst if you fancy joining us, you can do it here: NECS CCVA [on necs.org] (valid NECS membership required).

I hope to see you in Porto.

With best wishes,
